Wakesurfing & wakeboarding

The core Wake Life experience is private time behind the MasterCraft XStar. Your group has the boat for the length of the charter, with the wake set up for riding and the day paced around the people on board.

Whether it is your first attempt or you already know what you want to work on, the format keeps the focus where it belongs: more time riding, more time together, and no need to fit into someone else’s schedule.

Private wakesurf and wakeboard charter for up to 10 people. A full-ballast setup and basic coaching are available as part of the experience when required.

From first ride to progression

Coaching that fits the charter.

Wake Life can add coaching to a private charter, whether it is supportive guidance for a first ride or more focused help to take your riding further. The existing offer includes basic coaching when required with the ride charter.

One-to-one in-water children’s coaching is listed at NZ$120 per hour, added to the charter cost. Intermediate and advanced coaching can be tailored to the time and support required.

Client check before launch: confirm whether NZ$120 per hour remains the current one-to-one children’s-coaching rate, and whether any other coaching rates should be shown.

Private lake time

Scenic cruises on Lake Maraetai

Not every charter needs to be about the ride. Take the boat out for your own private lake cruise, with time to enjoy the surrounding views, learn a little of the lake’s history, see the cliff faces and hydro dam from the water, or stop for a swim.

The simple promise

We only go when the conditions are right.

The experience should feel exceptional, not compromised. Wake Life will not take guests out in poor conditions simply to keep a booking. If weather means a booking is mutually cancelled, deposits are refunded in full.

What is included in a private ride charter?

The existing Wake Life ride-charter offer includes unlimited wakesurfing and wakeboarding for the length of the private charter, using a full-ballast MasterCraft XStar setup. Basic coaching is available if required.

Is coaching included?

Basic coaching is available if required. One-to-one in-water children’s coaching is listed separately at NZ$120 per hour in addition to the charter; more advanced coaching can be tailored to the session.

What is a scenic cruise?

A scenic cruise is a private Lake Maraetai charter without wakeboarding or wakesurfing. It can include lake history, cliff faces, hydro-dam views and time for swimming.
